This same year, Boston-based Ubersense comes on board. An individual performance analysis app, this becomes Hudl Technique, which allows you to record any action and review in slow motion.

The most common method used to record in Sportscode is the Blackmagic Mini Recorder and UltraStudio HD to thunderbolt, which allows for broadcast-quality, HSDI input.

Hudl joins with Sportstec, based in Sydney, Australia, and starts compatibility work with Sportscode data on day one. 

Hudl Assist for basketball is launched as a beta. Teams can now get their game stats coded by Hudl’s expert analysts.

Hudl launches Courtside in the NBA, which allows in-game video review for coaches.

Hudl adds American football to Hudl Assist and delivers 12,000 game breakdowns per week.

Volleymetrics, the leader in collegiate and professional volleyball analysis, add their industry-leading solution to our product offering.

Hudl hires a team in India, adding 350 Hudl Assist analysts. Lacrosse, soccer and volleyball are added as additional sports. 

Hudl.com reaches 1 billion highlight video views. 

All English Premier League and Championship teams are now Sportscode clients.

Hudl surpasses 1 million social media followers. 

Hudl Focus is successfully beta tested only eight months after conception. Made possible by joining forces with Incatec, a Netherlands-based camera technology company, teams can now use Focus to auto­mat­i­cal­ly record and upload events straight to their Hudl accounts.

Hudl Sportscode, the fastest and most powerful edition yet, is released. Quicker navigation, smoother playback, and 2-5 times faster scripting are just a few of the updates.

Hudl Academy for the elite market, the first industry certification of its kind, goes live. Early adopters include national federations such as Royal Belgian Football Association and South African Rugby.


Wyscout combines with Hudl to form the largest global database of football video and data, now connected to an end-to-end analysis platform.

IP capture becomes the new standard, allowing the latest, multi-angle broadcast video to be recorded on a single Sportscode licence. (Includes launch of Antrica capture box.)

There are now 9 million unique monthly users on Hudl.com.
